Untitled (September 25, 2001: Floors 75 through
110), 2001. Edition of 5 + 2 artist’s proofs. Until September 11, 2001, Bob Cmar’s office windows looked out on the twin towers of the World Trade Center. This video, framed by the office window, was taken on the first clear day after the attack, when the wind first shifted to reveal the blue sky and puffy clouds above lower Manhattan. In this video, images of a beautiful sky slowly fade to white, then slowly reappear, giving the piece a living pulse.
